Thank you for your interest in joining the Jefferson County Medical Society. By clicking below you will be rerouted to the Membership Application page of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. This application is used by both the State Association and the Jefferson County Medical Society. There are two ways to join - either fill out the application on the website OR click on the link given to print out and mail your completed application, along with your dues check, to the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, P.O. Box 1900-C, Montgomery, AL 36102-1900. Upon receipt, the State Association will forward to us a copy of your application as well as any dues owed. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Medical Society membership coordinator at (205) 933-8601. The Jefferson County Medical Society was created in 1877, only a few years after the founding of the City of Birmingham, as the local medical society for physicians in the Birmingham area. Since that time, it has grown to include over 2,300 physicians, residents, and medical students as members.
